Jury Member No. 1 | Florian Weber
Florian Weber has been a Managing Director of SevenVentures since June 2021 and is responsible for the Media Investments division in his role as Chief Commercial Officer. He was previously a Member of the Board and served as Senior Director Media Investments and Director Business Development Growth Investments. Florian joined SevenVentures in 2013. Prior to SevenVentures, he was responsible for building the key account management at Burda Verlag and also worked for Deutsche Bank and Scout24 in various functions. Florian holds a Bachelor of Arts in Banking and Financial Management.
Jury Member No. 2 | Magdalena Oehl
Magdalena Oehl is the founder of the Munich-based HR tech company TalentRocket. TalentRocket builds and operates career platforms in markets with a shortage of skilled professionals. Previously, she studied law and communication sciences in parallel and initially worked in a leading legal firm for media law. In 2020, she was awarded the European Woman of Legal Tech in the field of entrepreneurship. She is also the founder of other companies, such as the second-hand metaplatform Catchys, and Deputy Chairwoman of the German Startups Association.
Jury Member No. 3 | "Hansi" Hansmann
Dr. Johann "Hansi" Hansmann was born in Austria and studied economics in Vienna. He spent the major part of his professional life working as an executive in the pharmaceutical industry in Austria, Germany, UK and Spain. He gathered several years of entrepreneurial experience running successfully his own pharmaceutical company in Spain after conducting a management buy-out of a big pharmaceutical plant, making an exit in 2003. Since this time he is active as investor and business angel. He is currently invested in startups with a geographical focus on Austria, Germany, UK and Spain. His investments (in total more than 50) include tractive, Storebox, LineMetrics, ANYLINE, journi, credi2, myclubs, mediclass, coinpanion and many others. He led Runtastic, shpock, mysugr and just recently durchblicker and Busuu to extraordinary exits. He was president of the ‘Austrian Angels Investors Association’ until 2021, was awarded 'Best European Early Stage Investor' in 2016 by eban.org and is now based in Vienna and tries to find spare time to ride his mountain bike.
