The industrial monument in the heart of Vienna inspires as a unique location for the 4GAMECHANGERS Festival
20,000 square metres of space for ideas: Vienna's listed MARX HALL is the setting for unforgettable experiences and grandiose productions. Vienna's last remaining wrought iron construction of the 19th century has developed into a versatile event location with a unique atmosphere in recent years. Since its revitalisation, the hall has been offering space for gala dinners, congresses, conferences, trade fairs, art and cultural events, concerts and creative festivals. The historic building from 1881 inspires with its industrial charm, enormous dimensions and the spectacular effect of the architectural construction. Anyone who has ever been here, whether as a guest or organiser, will long remember the impressive backdrop.
Open to all
Thanks to its open character, flexibility and free choice of technology, catering and other services, the MARX HALL is one of Vienna's top locations. The wide, level rooms provide the unmistakable setting for every conceivable event. Individual ideas and wishes can be perfectly staged here. "We are proud that with the MARX HALL we have created a venue for Vienna that closes the gap between the Gasometer, Stadthalle and Hofburg", says Managing Director Herwig Ursin happily.
From vacancy to showcase project
After the Viennese slaughterhouse moved out in 1997, the hall stood empty for a long time. In 2012 the HEY-U! Mediagroup took over the building, developed a successful utilisation concept and implemented the first accents as well as the expansion of the infrastructure. Within a few years, the building, now known as MARX HALL, became the pulsating centre of the young district of Neu Marx. Around two million visitors have been welcomed since then. What began as an architectural tour de force at the end of the 19th century and lay fallow as a former industrial building in the 20th century is now advancing into the 21st century as the ultra-modern, multifunctional MARX HALL.
