Creating courage for children affected by poverty
Child poverty is unfortunately also a sad reality in Austria, and Corona has further worsened the financial situation of families at risk of poverty.
Those who already had to get by with little before the crisis are now facing even more hardship: single parents, families with 3 or more children, precariously employed people. More than 368,000 children and young people are currently at risk of poverty. That is every fifth child in Austria. Together with Volkshilfe, our goal is to make people aware of this fact.
"The Power of Cooperation" is not the motto of the next "4GAMECHANGERS Festival" alone, but an attitude. ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 - the Company 4GAMECHANGERS - supports Volkshilfe in its fight against child poverty in Austria. From December 12 to 16, 2023, the "Café Puls" family will again present a special week against child poverty with many moving topics every day from 05:30 on PULS 4 and ZAPPN. Austria's first breakfast television provides detailed information about the topic and visits families who are at risk of or affected by poverty. Prominent guests support the special week LIVE in the studio. Volkshilfe director Erich Fenninger, hit singer Cesar Sampson, Richard Lugner and the managing director of "Kinderfreunde" Daniela Gruber-Pruner are among the guests. You can find all contributions here: "Café Puls"
Nina Kaiser, Managing Director ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 and Co-Founder 4GAMECHANGERS-Festival: "We are very pleased to support the campaign of Volkshilfe with the ProSiebenSat.1 PULS 4 Group for the third time. For years, we have been pursuing the achievement of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals with our corporate vision 4Gamechangers and our sustainability program 4SUSTAINABILITY and would like to create a positive impact on our future. Together with Volkshilfe, we continue to push our 4Gamechangers motto 'The Power of Cooperation' to fight child poverty in Austria as quickly as possible. Through sustainable support, we want to give these children a better starting position for their future."
Erich Fenninger, Director of Volkshilfe: "Through this partnership, we can reach hundreds of thousands of people in Austria with an important social cause. And this concern is now more urgent than ever: to support children who are at risk of poverty. Together, we want to encourage people and show them how they can help."
