Agnes Husslein-Arco

Agnes Husslein-Arco studied art history in Vienna and Paris. From 1981 to 2000, she managed Sotheby’s branches in Vienna, Budapest, and Prague. Since 2001, she has held various museum director roles, including at the Rupertinum and the Museum der Moderne Salzburg. She also worked at the Guggenheim Museum as director of international development and served as the director of the Österreichische Galerie Belvedere from 2007 to 2016. From 2017 to 2022, she first presented the Heidi Horten Collection at the Leopold Museum. Currently, she is the director of the "Heidi Horten Collection" museum in Vienna, showcasing the extensive private art collection of Heidi Horten in a spectacular new use in the heart of Vienna.
