Alexander Herzog

Alexander Herzog (*1964) is Secretary General of PHARMIG, the Austrian Pharmaceutical Industry Association. PHARMIG is the voluntary, party-politically independent interest group of the pharmaceutical industry in Austria. The approximately 120 member companies (as of July 2022) with about 18,000 employees cover a good 95 percent of the domestic pharmaceutical market. In addition, Alexander Herzog is vice president of PHARMIG ACADEMY, the association for continuing education in healthcare. Herzog is also Chairman of the OKIDS Advisory Board and on the Scientific Advisory Board of the Health Policy Forum. Previously, Herzog served as deputy chairman of the Social Insurance Institution for Trade and Industry (SVA) and in various management positions within the WGKK and the business community.
