Margit Kapfer

Since 2002, Mag. Dr. Margit Kapfer has set up and led the energy & climate department of denkstatt group, an internationally operating sustainability consultancy. With her team of experts in the field of decarbonisation, she is dedicated to reduce the GHG emission of the Austrian industry and to mitigate the impacts of climate change. During her career, she has developed numerous climate policy strategies for large organisations, assessed company greenhouse gas emissions as well as worked on offsetting and sink projects in agriculture and forestry. She wrote her PhD on “Carbon Capture & Sequestration” and worked for the UNFCCC for 7 years as an accreditation auditor.
