Peter Lehner

Peter Lehner has been chairman of the Social Insurance for the Self-Employed (SVS) since January 1, 2020, and chairman of the Conference of Social Insurance Institutions since January 14, 2020. As Chairman of the Transition Commission, he played a key role in shaping the merger of the SVA and SVB. Born in Wels in 1969, Peter Lehner was previously deputy chairman of the Pension Insurance Institution (PV) and a member of the Conference of Sponsors of the Main Association of Social Insurance Institutions. Lehner has also been a city councilor for business and urban development in his hometown of Wels since 2009. The entrepreneur was Federal Chairman of Junge Wirtschaft from 2003 to 2005.
