Werner Gruber, born in Ostermiething in 1970, studied physics at the University of Vienna. He is an expert on all questions of everyday physics. At the age of 17, he received the "First Austrian Youth Research Award" in Linz for the development of a three-dimensional screen, which was followed by further awards. For nine years, Werner Gruber was director of the Vienna Planetarium, which he left at the beginning of 2022 to devote himself to new tasks, such as the research coordination of Burgenland. Until 2016, he was also a member of the "Science Busters", a science cabaret group whose aim is to present science in a humorous way.
