A comeback for listening - the rediscovery of a beautiful meaning

Audio undoubtedly has the power to transport people to another world. A few words are enough to take you back in time to ancient Rome, for example, to be informed about world political events via audio or to find yourself in the middle of a crime scene. In addition to a multitude of audio offerings, the fact that content can be accessed anytime, anywhere and in almost any situation plays an essential role. Audio streaming formats of all kinds are becoming more and more popular and are increasingly gaining reach in terms of society's perception. Receiving ideas, information and stories easily and experiencing associations, feelings and food for thought - all of this is becoming increasingly relevant. It's safe to say that audio has become the world's most enjoyable side medium. We ask ourselves, are podcasts a passing hype or a sustainable, future-oriented success product? How will we listen to music, podcasts and audio books in the future? Will books be pushed out of the market at some point because the younger generation prefers to listen rather than read? And what trends can we expect? Philipp Hansa will be joined by Ingrid Thurnher (ORF), Karin Kessler (Strategy & Content SOM), Tatjana Lukas (Podcastwelt), Klaus Kofler (trend researcher), Will Page (former Spotify), Franziska Singer (Darfs ein bisserl Mord sein), Richard Hemmer (Geschichten aus der Geschichte) and Gabi Hiller (Habe die Ehre) to discuss these issues.
